• Dubai's preeminent Chinese restaurant enjoys a waterfront location within the Mina A'Salam hotel of Madinat Jumeirah. Glowing red lanterns lead through the entrance to the exquisite dining room with dark woods and Oriental decor. A glass kitchen looks upon the large round dining tables designed for sharing. The view of the Arabian Gulf and Burj al Arab from the terrace will take your breath away. Modern, progressive Chinese cuisine is carefully presented, and the food more than holds its own to the gorgeous surroundings. If you're in the mood for something from the sea, I recommend the seafood dim sum and the marinated fish. Otherwise, set your sights on the tender beef tenderloin with wild mushrooms, or the delectable Beijing duck served with crunchy vegetables. Save room at the end for coconut ice cream and plum crumble. Service here is excellent. Dress is smart casual.
