Ibn Battuta Mall

Description:

• This enormous mall on the way to Jebel Ali was designed with six distinct shopping courts celebrating the travels of Arab explorer Ibn Battuta through Andalusia, China, Egypt, India, Persia, and Tunisia. The China Court showcases a life-size Chinese junk ship, and there's a tempting ice-cream shop next to it called Marble Slab Creamery. Wander the maze of walkways leading through the other shopping courts, but be careful not to get lost. Department stores include H&M, Debenhams, and Fitz & Simons, and most major name-brand retailers are found in the mall. The plaza also holds an IMAX theater, along with a 20-screen cinema. Open Saturday to Thursday 10am to 10pm, Friday 2 to 10pm.
