You'll likely hear the mosques before you see them -- the call to prayer can be heard in the morning as the sun starts to seep into your hotel room -- and a trip to Dubai isn't complete without a visit to this mosque, the only one in the emirate that's open to non-Muslims. Tours are organized by the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding, and they educate visitors about Islamic religion and culture. The 1 1/2-hour tour starts at 10am, but be sure to get there about 30 minutes before to ensure you have a spot. Men and women should dress modestly, and while kids 4 and under are not admitted, cameras are.
