Description:

  • XVA is a boutique hotel and gallery in the center of Bastakiya, behind the Basta Art CafĂ© and the Majlis Gallery. Owned by Mona Hauser, the gallery displays an excellent collection of Middle Eastern artwork through changing exhibits, including contemporary paintings, sculptures, and installations by regional artists. From September to June on Wednesday evenings, free film screenings are shown. There's also a shaded vegetarian cafe and a small gift shop here. Open Saturday to Thursday 9am to 7pm, Friday 10am to 5pm.
