Description:

  • Conway's is apparently the oldest Dublin pub on the northside of the city, and was also the establishment in which a number of the leaders of the 1916 Easter Rising were arrested. It's a traditional sort of pub, drawing a varied crowd of local customers, and the Conway's remains one of the few venues that managed to tastefully refurbish its interior without ruining the atmosphere. Conway's has been used as a film set in both Irish and international movies, and given the fact that it's directly opposite from the Rotunda Maternity Hospital, there's almost always an expectant father-to-be nervously downing pints at the bar.
