  • NileGuide Expert tip:

Go here for great pints of Guinness and oodles of cosy character

  • Description:

    • All Dublin pubs should be like this. It is a locals pub with characters who have been drinking their for decades and everyone seems to know each other. A mix of market traders, art students, off duty cops and local hipster apartment dwellers. The pints of guinness served are some of the best in Dublin. It is a no frills orthodox operation, nothing much changes in this pub, both the die hard customers and antique gas heaters hanging from the ceiling could be from the early part of this century. There is a small snug but you would have to get there early to secure it. There is only one member of staff on duty and their are the bar person, waiter, lounge boy, bouncer and cleaner. Be nice, if you annoy them, expect a sarcastic witty comment in return.
