- If you request a room at the front of this 1870s seaside hotel on the outskirts of Dublin, you will have unparalleled views of Dun Laoghaire harbor and the Irish Sea. Sutton is only a short ride away from the city center of Dublin, but the suburb itself is full of shops, pubs and restaurants, and best of the all, the sea. It is easy to imagine the women with parasols and children playing in the sand who have been coming here for generations for a seaside holiday. The comfortable and spacious bedrooms have all been refurbished recently and the eight suites, complete with four-poster beds and separate sitting-rooms are certainly worth the extra cost.
