Description:
- Oliver St John Gogarty was born in 1878 and was a man of many talents: a poet, writer, pilot, politician, sportsman and surgeon. He became known among Dubliners for his kindness and alms-giving to the poor of the city. Located in Temple Bar, this bar is popular for its traditional Irish music sessions, while the restaurant specialises in seafood. Be warned however: the Oliver St. John Gogarty can get very busy indeed during the summer months.

Just the job

We wanted good food at a decent price and Irish music. Thats exactly what we got. The staff were helpful and friendly even though it was so busy. Right in the middle of Temple Bar.

Yes, it's touristy, yes it's loud, but the food, drink and music are superb. If you want an easy option for a guaranteed good night out, go here

A lively traditional pub with great live music
-
A cheery warm atmosphere full of locals and tourists. Staff and musicians were friendly salt-of-the earth folk. They make a Hot Toddy just right for a chilly day.
