Description:

  • Situated in the bustling Powerscourt Townhouse Centre off Grafton Street, this bright and airy gallery was first established in 1981 and is considered as one of the major centres for contemporary art in Ireland. The gallery represents leading Irish and international painters and sculptors working primarily in a figurative style and has exhibitions ongoing throughout the year. Gallery artists have included Martin Mooney, Elizabeth Cope and Peter Collis. The gallery also deals in Irish period paintings and features works by Jack B. Yeats and Roderic O'Connor in its collection. It's certainly worth dropping into if you happen to be shopping in the area.
