If you are looking for an hotel I would recommend the web site www.skyscanner.com to find the best prices. Jurys inn hotel have very good offer at the moment and they are right in the city centre. If you are staying only few days, I would recomment the viking bus tour which is much more fun that the normal one. You should go to the National gallery (free), guiness factory and you can't miss areas like St Stephen Green, Grafton street, kildare and Dawson street, Georges street for the Arcade (market), O'Connel street and Henry street fot shopping.
When you get the airport, there is small tourism information, go and ask for a map of Dublin. The map given is very clear. If you have time I would recommend to go to Howth village which is the North of Dublin (you can take a Dublin bus from the city centre to get there)a nd you can also go for a tour (you will be able to buy tickets in any tourism information in the centre) in the southside, county wicklow.
