Where is the more rowdy, ghetto parts of Dublin? I'd like to use that setting for a novel I'm writing.

That would be best evaluated by actually looking round the city and suburbs yourself.

I'd have to agree with "tony2phones" on this one. Everywhere has it good and bad areas. The best research comes from personal experience. You could end up getting it absolutely wrong this way.

Oliver Bond Flats and O'Devaney gardens.. to name but a few but you get good and bad everywhere.
