Description:
- Founded in 1987, Mahn- und Gedenkstätte,l documents the persecution of Jews, communists and gypsies in Dusseldorf during the Nazi era. The building in the old town used to be a prison for political prisoners before being taken over by the German Army in 1934. Besides hosting temporary exhibitions on a variety of topics, the memorial contains a permanent exhibition, entitled Persecution and Resistance in Düsseldorf, 1933-45.
