• The Cologne resident Walther König is known even outside the city limits for his commitment to the art scene. He has opened branches of his art bookshop in almost every large city in Germany - and of course in Düsseldorf, as well as founded a small publishing firm which offers the rising generation of writers on art the chance to publish. The range on offer in the Düsseldorf branch can certainly be called all-encompassing - the subjects covered include architecture, the plastic arts, film and photography, a small choice of books on dance and theatre, and of course all kinds of information on non-European arts and crafts. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and almost always know straight away where the desired book is kept, despite the large number of books sold here. By the way, even Michael Jackson bought something at Walther König once.
