Description:

  • This impressive hall is part of the university complex of buildings arranged around the old town's Bristo Square. It plays regular host to full orchestral works and is an important classical venue during the Edinburgh International Festival. The 1858 built edifice features an ornate cornice, a modern organ and the fascinating Edinburgh University Collection of Musical Instruments. There are frequent concerts that explore some of the greatest pieces of music written for the organ - check out the popular Organs Of Edinburgh series.
