On Princes Street in central Edinburgh, the
Caledonian Hilton Edinburgh hotel is a short walk from the Convention Center (EICC). A former station house, the hotel is virtually a city landmark, featuring stunning views of Edinburgh Castle.
Inside the red-stone building, the Edwardian decor exudes a sense of elegance and luxurious atmosphere. The service is brilliant, pleasant and attentive. Although the hotel does not offer too many recreational activities, you won't need them. The hotel's central location is close to all the city's attractions, which makes it the ideal base for touring the city.
The hotel's famous and award-winning restaurant The Pompadour, which sits atop of the five-star accommodation,
offers sumptuous French and Scottish cuisine. It is named after Jeanne Antoinette, Marquise de Pompadour (1721 – 1764), a renowned courtesan from the reign of Louis XV. Again, the incredible views of Edinburgh Castle make it one of the most romantic restaurants in the city. Meanwhile, the Carriages brasserie is considered one of the best spots to take afternoon tea.
Special features include the magnificent Presidential suite and "listed" rooms (rooms designated as historical landmarks which feature murals painted in 1958). All rooms have modem ports and 45 rooms have facsimile ports. There is also a business centre.
