- Located just off the Royal Mile, this two-floor bookstore is stacked to the ceiling with all sorts of things: from maps, tourist guides, magazines, to educational and fictional titles. Admittedly, it's not the most glamorous of shops, but it is brimming with bookish character and as such is a treasure trove of interesting titles. It is well worth a browse, especially if you're looking for something a little out of the ordinary. It's particularly popular with students and Edinburgh's literati.
