- Walterdale Playhouse is an amateur theater housed within the Strathcona Firehall, in the Old Strathcona region of Edmonton. An amateur theater group by the same name, established in 1959 by the Theater Associates, stages its performances at this venue. Walterdale Playhouse has a modest capacity of about 145 and has witnessed some of the greatest performances from eminent actors. An integral part of Edmonton's art and culture, Walterdale Playhouse hosts many summertime theater festivals too. Call box office for more information.
