- This mid-century designed place is quite charming with wooden flooring, brightly painted walls and a brick wall. On a few tables you can find a lamp, and on the walls lovely paintings. The Blue Plate's menu features steak, chicken, fish and burgers together with veggies. Try the Pozole Enchiladas and the Indian Lunch Platter. The vegetarian dishes are much better than the meat cuisine especially the veggie burgers. There's also a kids menu serving treats like the 'Kids Mac' and 'Kids Grilled Cheese' burgers. Complement your meal with a beer, wine or opt for an 'alabama slammer'.

Went to the Blue Plate Diner before a concert at the Winspear. We told our server that we needed to be at the Winspear and he made sure we got our food and the bill in plenty of time...

Ask clearly about what the special, we had a mexican dish that was not great once. Also if you eat at night, the lighting is so dim you can't see the food :) Most everything...
