Calgary & Edmonton (1891) Railway Museum

Description:

  • During July and August you can travel back in time to see what Old Strathcona's railway station was really like. The station was used until 1907, when a new one was built. The museum is home to a working telegraph service, which was the main method of communication in the early days. This is a free attraction and frequent guided tours are available. However, donations are gratefully accepted. It can also be visited by appointment in the winter. Hours vary seasonally, check the website for details.
