John Janzen Nature Centre

Description:

  • Sharing a parking lot with Fort Edmonton Park, the Janzen Centre is a storehouse of knowledge on Edmonton's natural history, as well as how to co-exist with nature in an urban setting. It's ideal for kids, with baby bunnies and chicks on hand for them to fondle, and all kinds of year-round programs and classes, like "Butterfly Frolic" and "This Ark called Earth." There are also 4km (2.2 miles) of interpretive trails signposted with all kinds of nature knowledge.
