Description:
This downtown museum is a winner for young minds curious about the inner workings of nature. There are interactive exhibits on topics ranging from energy and optics to health and biology. Kids get a big jolt of fun out of the Tesla coil that courses with 500,000 volts several times a day. Another favorite is the exhibit on sound, with an Echo Tube and displays on sonic waves. A comprehensive tour requires about an hour.
