Swami's Cafe

• Literally across the street from the famed surfer location Swami's in Encinitas, this small cafe doesn't take reservations but does fill the stomach. Essentially a beach cafe, Swami's outdoor seating is often filled on sunny days with local families and salt water drenched surfers who order acai bowls, homemade pancakes, large omelet dishes and smoothies. Ordering up front causes a bit of an intimidating line at first, but the friendly staff serves dishes promptly and with a smile. Just off the PCH, there isn't as great of a view as the beach where it takes its name, but just across the street from the famed Self-Realization Fellowship and local surfer shops of Encinitas, Swami's Cafe is a great pick-me-up.
