In September 2009 the Quail Botanical Gardens Foundation chose to change its name to San Diego Botanic Garden; the venue still offers the same pristine connection to Mother Nature as before.

  • Description:

    • The largest North American display of bamboo serves as a backdrop for plants of every kind including exotic tropicals, indigenous plants and unusual specimens that flourish in this mild coastal climate allowing for a 365-day growing season. Volunteers maintain this world-renowned, 30-acre botanical garden only 30 miles north of San Diego. A botanical library is onsite for study and research. Admission required.
