• In the lobby of the Lawrence Welk Theatre, a large selection of memorabilia from Welk's personal collection gives guests a reason to stay and reminisce. Throughout guests' self-guided tours, they will also hear the sounds of Welk and his orchestra performing. The collection tells the story of how Welk—also called Mr. Wunnerful—and his band went from the small time to the big time. Among other paraphernalia, such as pictures, newspaper clippings, and plaques, a cardboard cutout of Welk orchestrating his band stands in front of a television camera. The pride of the collection is the world's largest champagne glass, which Welk received on his 25th anniversary. Call ahead for hours.
