Even when you follow the directions to D.I.'s Cajun Restaurant, you will think you are about to drive off the face of the earth, particularly if you're driving there in the dark. You'll know you're there -- and that you are not alone -- when you see all the cars in the gravel parking lot. Located on a back highway, D.I.'s is more or less what Mulate's was before the tourists found it: a homey family restaurant full of locals dancing to live music (Tues-Sat) and stuffing themselves with crawfish and catfish. Some items are not fried, but most are -- or they're stuffed or topped with a sauce -- and it's all good.
