Because of the Boeing connection, the Seattle area has an abundance of airplane-related attractions. Here at the Flying Heritage Collection, you can marvel at the 15 immaculately restored fighter planes that belong to Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen. Old fighter planes are another of Allen's interests, along with professional football (he owns the Seattle Seahawks) and rock music and science fiction (he owns the Experience Music Project and the Science Fiction Museum). Many of the rare planes in this collection are in flyable condition, and twice a month during the summer, planes take to the air over Paine Field. If you're visiting the Future of Flight Aviation Center , you'll also want to stop by this little air museum.
