Description:
- The Pineknot Trail begins at the Aspen Glen Picnic Ground and runs southerly until it reaches Grand View Point (7,784 feet). Hikers share the trail with equestrians for the first 1.5 miles before they wind their way up through stands of white fir and Jeffrey pine. This trail is touted as being one of the best for viewing autumn foliage.
Serious hikers can make the 6-mile round trip in 3 hours, while families should plan for a half-day to enjoy the views.
