Description:

• Originally a butchery, this village garden-style eatery is a well-kept secret, serving up rustic ambience and incredible food at spectacularly low prices. You can sit at one of the few tables in the slightly overgrown valley yard or on rudimentary platforms with plump pillows while a herd of goats nibble at the nearby daffodils. After choosing from a selection of meat, fish, and wild boar, all of it fresh and succulent and in abundant portions, you grill your own food on a small, tableside barbecue. The mezes are almost unnecessary with all the food that arrives, including the essential combination of onions, tomatoes, and peppers to grill alongside the meat. The local crowd of regulars tends to make an evening of it, egged on by the roving minstrels and singing increasingly off-key as the night progresses.
