Don't feel fooled by its name: Granny's Closet is not a tea room for grandmothers, nor is it a vintage dress shop. Granny's Closet, established in 1974, is actually one of Flagstaff's favorite casual dining restaurants and sports bar. On the dining side, Granny's Closet dishes up Italian specialties, with a focus on steak, seafood, shrimp, and salads. The dining room is family-friendly and nice enough to take a date. The adjacent sports bar, however, can be quite loud, especially if it happens to be hosting a NAU game day viewing. This is a favorite hangout for locals looking to watch the big pay-per-view boxing match or other major sports events while sipping on a beer.
