Description:
- Good Mexican food is a tradition that runs through the veins of manager Marty Garcia. Members of his family also own El Charro, a must stop Mexican joint just south of the tracks. La Fonda, is on the Eastside – a little out of the way for most visitors, but well worth the extra 3 miles outside of town. Chili at La Fonda is an old Garcia family recipe, as are much of the items on the menu. The restaurant is equipped with two kitchens to handle the crowds that typically characterize this place on the weekend. Many tourists are turned off by this place because of its appearance, while locals know better. So don't be fooled by the worn exterior of this tremendous place. Do try the fluffy sopapillas, which are best with a little honey on top!
