- Throughout the summer months, local authors and historians Richard and Sherry Mangum lead annual Historic Walks through downtown Flagstaff. The couple dresses in period costumes and treats participants to a lively, informative 90-minute walk into local history, sharing tales of Flagstaff. Reservations must be made in advance and the group size is limited, so please let the Mangums know that you'll be joining the tour. It begins and ends at the Visitor Center. The walks are free of charge. This is a priceless way to learn more about local history and culture.
