Florence is full of the less expensive means of accommodation. If you are on a budget, hostels are what you looking for. Hostels are not like they used to be. There are hostels in Florence that have swimming pools, your own bathroom in the room and full breakfast in the morning. No more bread and cheese. There are also great bed and breakfast houses that offer you the comfort and hospitality as any high priced hotel. The prices are low for a short stay, so much that you probably saved enough to stay an extra day longer than planned.
Plus Florence Hostel is a change of hostels all over Europe. They have all the amenities that a backpacker or a budget traveler would want. There is a rooftop bar that you can enjoy a nice cocktail while watching the sunset over Florence on a warm summer night. There is a swimming pool located in the basement as well. The rooms have been renovated with a modern feel as it used to be convent. There is a cafeteria on site as well.
The Cimatori Bed and Breakfast is a hidden gem in the heart of Florence. Right around the corner from Dante Alghieri's birthhome. Enjoy staying on the enchanting, historic streets of Florence and breathe in the unique magical atmosphere of Florence. Named after Piazza dei Cimatori, this square and S. Martino del Vescovo church was where workers cut the matted ends (the Cime) off the fleeces. It was also the territory of the wool guild.
Florence is where the artists flourish and the culture is still very much alive. Each and every corner in this fair city you will find something worth stopping and gazing at.
