  • I wouldn't call these cheap places but reasonably priced and full of an authentic quality. You won't be disappointed visiting these restaurants. Pangies Bistrot is a family-run restaurant that prepare all their meals of the day at their home the morning of and bring it all to the restaurant. It is my favorite place to eat. You feel you are eating at their home with them. The father, Mario, comes and sits at your table to talk with you. He is a blast. All the food is priced incredible low for the amount of food you receive.

Vinaino di Parte Guelfa is like 'Cheers' for Italians. The food is fresh, the ingredients are typical Tuscan, and the conversations are real and meaningful. I sit here and enjoy a glass of wine and the Italian banter of the local patrons. From politics to love, I have gained so much from this place. Being open almost 2 years now, Luca and Leo have quite a following. It is great stop for a quick bite or a long chat. Le volpe l'uva is another place where you get what you pay for. Located in a tiny piazza, Piazza dei Rossi, it offers a fresh menu with Tuscan delights and wine to match. From cheese plates to bruschetta to panini, you will never go away hungry. Sit for a snack, stay for an afternoon.

Trattoria da Giorgio is yet another family run restaurant that offer homemade daily specials. A low dinner price of 12 euro for a first, second and third course plus wine and water. The waiters are very friendly and speak a bit of English. I enjoy eating here every so often because it is one of those places that I always choose the special of the day. Economical and delicious, a great evening overall.

Cheap doesn't actually mean cheap in quality but it means you can afford it. Each one of these places are worth a stop. Try one and perhaps you will keep going back. Enjoy!
