Being a resident here in Florence now, I have been able to taste all the fabulous places Florence has to offer. There are so many places have been recommended to me from my friends and more that I have found on my own. Like Pangies, this was a find by my friend and I. Once we walked in, we felt immediately like family. The food is prepared with love and care. I have never eaten so well.
Vinaino Parte di Guelfa is my favorite place to get my panini. I never regret stopping and grabbing my favorite panino. The place is genuine and full of life with a theater of players moving and in out of scene. The ambiance is like how I welcome I feel in a friend's home. Trattoria da Giorgio gives me the same feeling. I order the same thing and the staff always pushes me to try another dish. The dishes are typical Umbrian and Tuscan.
Borgo Antico serves one of the best pizzas in my opinion. If you order for take away you will be served a prosecco while you wait. The staff is incredibly friendly and by now I know many of them. This locale is crowded on the weekends, it would be smart to reserve or come early or you will be waiting for a bit. Trattoria di Quattro Leoni is a rather secluded place where many of the famous folk head when they are in town. Inside there are photos of every celebrity has frequented this delicious, secret restaurant.
