There are all kinds of rooms, dorm style, single rooms, double rooms, but what is great is everything is less expensive to accommodate students. Florence is full of hostels which fit each traveler's needs.

    Academy Hostel is rated one of the top hostels in Florence. A hostel built into a 17th century palazzo that offers tons of modern amenities to its guests. Located near the Accademia Gallery, you are just steps away from seeing the David in full size. It is also close to many happening pubs and local watering holes, if you fancy a night out.

    The most modern hostel I have seen in Italy. Plus Florence Hostel is located right near the train station and is within walking distance to the city center. The services it provides are many, a swimming pool, a rooftop terrace with bar that looks out to Florence. The rooms are set up dorm style with a bathroom. There are many types of rooms with either, 2, 3, or four beds in each room. There is a restaurant in the basement of the hostel that offers typical Italian dishes for a good price. Plus Florence Hostel is geared towards students and backpackers.

    Backpacking around Italy is one of the pastimes of students, I know this because I did it as well. Finding the perfect or suitable dwelling to store your stuff is essential when traveling.
