Things To Do Near The Cathedral (Il Duomo) in Florence

The area around the Duomo is full of fun things to venture to and explore. As all the major tours take the journey through Piazza del Duomo to see the sights of the Duomo, the Campanile di Giotto and the Battistero these are only a few of the attractions to visit. If you take the pedestrian street, Via Calzaioli, just before Piazza della Signoria you will find Orsanmichele. Cantinetta Antinori is a great enoteca with all the wines produced on the Antinori properties. Behind San Lorenzo Church, there is yet another masterpiece done partly by Michelangelo. The Medici Chapel is a majestic space. With each tomb expressing how Lorenzo Duke of Urbino and of Giuliano Duke of Nemours. was in life. A silent space that has a whole lot to say.
