Description:
Florence's IYH hostel is a way outside the city center but worth it for the budget-minded. The name doesn't lie -- this really is a countryside villa, with an outdoor loggia, and it's surrounded by greenery. The rooms are typically bland but livable. You can check in after the lockout (9am-2pm in summer, 9am-3pm in winter), and curfew is midnight. They also offer 180 tent sites for cool camping amid their wooded acres for 5€ ($6.50) per person plus 4€ to 6€ ($5.20-$7.80) per tent.

If you're a backpacker on a budget and you're out seeing the sights all day, it's fine. I slept well, and it was good to be out of the city centre. Convenient bus stop...

Beautiful place in a beautiful town. Easy to reach also by bus. Nice price. Breakfast should offer a better choice of food.

Worst hostel I´ve ever been. I stayed there a long time ago, but it seems that nothing has changed. Like everybody says, it´s far from Florence, and the walk up (through the woods)...
