My wife, 2 daughters, and I are arriving Livorno aboard the Norwegian Jade on July 5th at 8:00AM. The ship departs the same day at 8:00PM. This will be our first visit and we are looking for someone to meet us at the dock, transport, and be our guide for the day in Florence and Pisa. Please show us the highlights, and make this a memorable day. We have several friends and neighbors who will be following in our footsteps and are awaiting our recollections and recommendations. Good morning Mr. Gaughen,
I am a licensed tour guide of Florence. I own a comfortable car (Opel with 7 seats and air conditioning, of course) to drive the four of you from Livorno to Pisa and from Pisa to Florence; then, in the afternoon, around 6,00 pm, from Florence to Livorno in time for the Norwegian departure.
Although I am a certified guide of Florence I have got not license for guiding tourists at Pisa. Anyway I’ll be able to provide you the necessary information concerning those magnificent monuments in the car while driving towards the religious center of Pisa (where also the leaning tower is located).
You’ll have to consider no more than 30-45 minutes for visiting the monuments of Pisa in order to be able to enjoy the highlights of Florence in the best way.
Besides the visit to the religious center and to the civil center of Florence, to the famous old bridge, to the Piazzale Michelangelo and to San Miniato al Monte, you will have to tell me in advance if you want to visit the Uffizi Gallery (where Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and Botticelli paintings are located) and/or the Academy of Fine Arts where, besides the other famous art works, Michelangelo’s David is on display. The reason why I ask for this information before your arrival is because I should book a reservation for your tickets in order to skip the possible lines.

As for the price of service (it includes my guiding service, the car, gasoline and motorway but museums and church tickets will not be included), it will be €570,00 = $804,00 (according to the today’s exchange rate). Actually I’d like better to get paid in euro.
