I will be in Florence next week and was wondering could you go to fiesole and Siena in the one day ?.

yes you can if you have your car. It's quite difficult if you use public means of transport as you lose time in changing them. You can take a bus (line n.7) to reach Fiesole that is at just 20/30 minutes from the center of Florence. To reach Siena you can take train or bus(the ride lasts more than 1 hour). Siena is not so big but it has so many masterpieces that it's a pity staying there only half a day! I think you need at least all day to appreciate it.
