- Located in the south of the island, Acor is situated ideally near the beach. Considering the owner and his wife serve up an Angolan menu heavily reliant on seafood, the locale is ideal for enjoying the fruits of the sea. Influenced by Portuguese cuisine, Angolan fare is simple and hearty. You can't leave this place without trying the bacalhau (salted cod) -- a traditional Portuguese staple -- that the proprietors import from Porto and prepare in a variety of ways. Also recommended is the moamba, a traditional Angolan stew of chicken in palm oil with okra.
