For the young and muscular, Praia Mole's the place to be. Crowding the beach in bikinis and Speedos, Floripa's cool kids flock here to mingle and surf. It might be the beach's proximity to the hip Lagoa da Conceicao neighborhood that brings this particular crowd, or it may be the soft, fine sand that gave it its name (Praia Mole literally means "Soft Beach"). Whatever the reason, the result is that this has become quite possibly the island's hippest beach, where beach-goers spend the day in the sand, and the night at one of the many bars and restaurants that line its borders.
