The fun in Florida Keys doesn't stop when the sun goes down. Some even argue that that's when it starts. Bars, lounges tiki bars and live music venues-it's all reason for us to put our dancing flip-flops on and raise to toast to Florida Keys. Will you join in?
The fun in Florida Keys doesn't stop when the sun goes down. Some even argue that that's when it starts. Bars, clubs, lounges and live music venues-it's all reason for us to put our dancing shoes on and raise to toast to Florida Keys. Will you join in?
Key West's nightlife is characterized by the rhythms of reggae, salsa and island rock spilling from the open doorways of clubs and saloons ... the whirr of a blender and the faint tang of lime as a bartender concocts a perfect frozen margarita ... the laughter and clink of glasses as new friends at a palm-shaded courtyard bar toast the evening's promise.
Happy hour is popular at establishments throughout the Florida Keys, but - paradoxically - the scene really heats up once the sun goes down. After the nightly sunset best viewed at Marathon's Old Seven Mile Bridge, many party-minded people head for waterfront eateries and tiki huts for some tall cool ones.
All over the Florida Keys nightly settings are as varied as the drink offerings. Revelers might sip a tall cool drink at an outdoor bar or pull up a barstool at a tiny sports tavern where regular patrons along with their canine companions enjoy their own "cocktails" - bowls of ice water. The Florida Keys are very pet friendly and four-legged friends are welcome to imbibe. We've found some of our favorites for live music, happy hours, sunset views and laughs around the barstools.
