  • The closest thing to a boutique hotel in the Florida Keys, Casa Morada is the brainchild of a trio of New York women who used to work for hip hotelier Ian Schrager. This 16-suite property is a hipster haven tucked away off a sleepy street and radiates serenity and style in an area where serenity is aplenty, but style is elusive. Sitting on 1.7 acres of prime bayfront, the hotel features limestone grotto, freshwater pool, and poolside beverage service. Each of the cool rooms has either a private garden or a terrace -- request the one with the open-air Jacuzzi that faces the bay. While the decor is decidedly island, think St. Barts rather than, say, Gilligan's. There's no onsite restaurant, a complimentary breakfast is served daily, and there's free yoga Wednesday through Sunday at 8:30 am. Enjoy free use of bikes, bocce balls, and board games. Despite the games, this place is not recommended for kids.

  • Difficult to add to what others have already written. I would just point out that this a great little hotel which will not be for everybody...it's not luxury in terms of amenities...
