Description:

Since the 1950s, Captain Hook's Marina and Dive Center has been the place to get everything  for a day on the water. Charters for fishing, diving, snorkeling; dive instruction and certification; bait and tackle; scuba equipment and air tanks; boat rentals; snacks and beverages. Conveniently located oceanside on the Overseas Highway at the Vaca Cut bridge (MM53), minutes from Marathon's incredible reef and prime fishing waters.

Located right on Vaca Cut, it has easy access to open water. In July 2009 a wayward whale shark was a resident visitor for weeks, and the folks at Captain Hook's took great pains to monitor its safety. The shop is right next door to the Marathon Lady, at the east end of town.
