- Snooks is an institution (it's been around since 1963). Summer hasn't officially started until some warm summer evening has involved a wander through the heart of Old Folsom and a stop at Snooks for a wonderfully large cone. The sticky fingers are well worth it. And anyone who doesn't appreciate a cold scoop on a hot summer's day (whoever you are) can choose from chocolates, truffles, hard candies, gummies, brittles and whatever other magical treats the proprietors have chosen to whip up.
