Description:
Adults will enjoy seeing the grand architecture and decorative arts of this 1790s manor house. Kids will love looking at old-fashioned toys, trying on bonnets and hats, learning how a spinning wheel works, working a loom themselves, and touching all the labor-saving kitchen gadgets of that era. Also in the 43-acre park are an icehouse, garden, log cabin, blacksmith shop, farm museum, and carriage museum. The lawns invite picnickers to set a spell. The house tour takes about 1 1/2 hours.
