    • Built in the 1850s by convict labor, the historic Fremantle Prison offers Day Tours showcasing prison life in tiny cells, slightly scary Candlelight Tours where you might glimpse a ghost, and adventurous Tunnels Tours including boat rides through underground tunnels dug by prisoners over a century ago. Experienced guides - many of them former prison wardens - explain what prison life was like in a jail which only closed in 1991.
