Getting There
By Train -- Trains from Frankfurt arrive hourly throughout the day (trip time: 3 1/2 hr.). Ten trains per day arrive from Munich (trip time: 4 1/2 hr.). Freudenstadt has two railway stations, the Stadtbahnhof, an older and smaller station in the center of town, and the Hauptbahnhof, about .6km (1 mile) south of the center. Most trains stop at both. By Bus -- Bus travel tends to be convenient only for those coming from surrounding hamlets. Buses stop at both the Bahnhofplatz and the Marktplatz. For information, call tel. 07441/860130.
By Car -- Driving from Stuttgart, following the B28, takes about 15 minutes; from Karlsruhe via the B462, about 30 minutes.

The Tourist Information Office is at Marktplatz 64 (tel. 07441/8640; www.freudenstadt.de). It's open Monday to Friday 10am to 5pm, Saturday 10am to 3:30pm (until 1pm in winter), and Sunday 11am to 1pm.
