Marina Town

• This new shopping center in the western suburbs of the city was financed, strangely, by Daiei, which also opened Hawks Town not but a few kilometers away. There are, at least, numerous differences between the two shopping centers. Marina Town was modeled after American malls. There is only one floor to speak of, and the entrances to all the stores are within the complex. The walkways are spacious and feature benches, trees, and small vendors. The mall has four major divisions for added convenience: Foods Town, Fashion Town, Home World Town, and Kid's Wonder Town. Besides these, there is a small food court, and other miscellaneous stores in the center of the mall. A plus for many shoppers is that parking is free and that the mall is open much later than most.
