Description:
- This pub is one of the few remaining buildings in Galway displaying the original Galway Crest on the exterior wall. The remains of a 16th-century fort were discovered during recent renovations but unfortunately these remain buried and away from public view. The interior has an otherwise contemporary design, and is spacious with air-conditioning. The Galway Arms serves delicious bar food all week. Staff are friendly and will readily dispense any historical information associated with the building itself. The mixed crowd includes actors from the nearby Arts Center, students and lifelong regulars.
